Native Instruments has announced that Traktor Pro 3.3.0 is now available, the headline feature being comprehensive iTunes/Music integration.

Other improvements include integration with Pioneer DJ’s XDJ-1000Mk2 and XDJ-700 media player plus the new DJM-V10 mixer, and Midi mapping for the Traktor Kontrol S3 controller.

This launches today and users should check for updates in the usual way in order to get the latest version. More info on Traktor over on the Native Instruments website.

TRAKTOR PRO 3 sees a series of changes to our audio engine, designed with club- sized sound systems in mind. New Elastique 3 time-stretching, an improved master limiter, and industry-mixer modeling options mean that whatever your style, and whatever you do to your tracks, they’ll always be music to your ears.

  • Jan 01, 2013  Traktor has a built in sampler and as a result users are able to record loops ranging from a small 1/32th of a beat to a 32 bar loop. This loop can then be placed in a remix deck and used as a part of a remix set. As default Traktor is set to automatically save all loops into the track collection and saves them on your hard drive as a.wav file.
  • Traktor is the pro platform that top DJs trust, and Traktor Pro with Remix Deck technology is the most advanced version of Features and Highlights ever. Perform your mix on up to four decks, featuring TruWave colored waveforms, powerful looping and cueing functionality and an exceptional effects suite.

  • I have traktor pro 2 installed and my hercules e2 controller works fine with it, all controls are fine but no sounds played through traktor play.
Under Audio setup i have the following settings:
    Audio device: ASIO4ALL v2
    Sample rate: 24000Hz
    Latency: 512

Then under the ‘Built in soundcard’ bit i have ASIO4ALL selected again. The only other choice being something called” Conexant 20561 smartaudio ( (Wassapi) (Shared mode))”

I have no idea what to do with input & output routing, but have had no luck with just guessing. could really use some help people. if you need any more info, let me know. thanks

On Audio Setup, select “ASIO4ALL” for audio device. Then, on Output Routing, select “Internal” for mixing mode, on Out Master select 1: Front Left, then 2: Front Right. Output Monitor should be 3: Back Left, then 4: Back Right.

So I’ve checked your controller the Hercules E2, and learned that it doesn’t have a built-in soundcard. And, the computer that you are connecting to is using a Digital-Out interface, which means your ordinary 3.5mm will not work with it. You will need a S/PDIF is a digital audio interconnect to RCA cable to be able to connect it to an external mixer or speakers.

Try using Conexant 20561 smartaudio ( (Wassapi) (Shared mode)) as your audio setup and use “internal” in your output routing select “anything” that is available on your drop down list and see if any sound is produced in your computer.

If it still doesn’t work, then your computer’s soundcard doesn’t support external audio routing, you may need to buy a DJ soundcard like one of these: http://www.digitaldjtips.com/2010/11/6-budget-dj-sound-cards/

3D 5.1 soundcards will work as long as you have two separate outputs. But, if you want to connect it to high-powered mixers and speakers, then I recommend buying a DJ soundcard from numark or native instruments. That way there would be no distortion if you pump up the volume.
