Hi,
I'm a very new user to Studio One and 3rd party VST's in general, but I'm experienced in computer use and other music software. I run 64 bit on a Windows 10 laptop
I've just purchased the Korg Legacy Collection for use with Studio One but there are some weird issues
Wavstation won't appear as a VST's, Legacy Cell won't appear at all, so I'm sure these aren't anything to do with S1
The bit that baffles me is this - M1, MonoPoly and Polysix show up fine as VST's in S1. I can allocate them to midi tracks and all seems fine, the sounds are wonderful. Then I change sound patches manually to get the right sound. Again, all is fine
But. . . when I stop playback for any reason, then re start the track, the Korg devices reset to the very first patch in their respective soundtracks!
Totally strange
Does S1 send midi control data to do this? I can't imagine it, anyway it doesn't happen with anything but the Korgs
Any thoughts? Suggestions?

Dave if its any help I am ruuning Wavestation inside Studio One V3 on Win 7 64 bit though. It is all perfect here. It might be a Windows 10 issue perhaps.
No issues with presets changing either. All normal behaviour that way.
I used to have a real Wavestation and the plugin sounds amazing. So good in fact I would class it as slightly nicer. I read somehere they made some improvements to the plugin over the hardware. One reviewer also thought the VST sounded stellar as well.

Thanks for the reply, much appreciated. I'm also wondering if it's windows 10
I've thought about embedding patch change info in my tracks (on every 16th!) just to ensure the correct patch is selected. The problems only happen when I stop the track then start it again, strange
I'll keep trying. If I solve this I'll post the details, if not I'll ask Korg support if they know anything
As you say, the noises from Korg are way beyond other software I've used. They're incredible
Many years ago I worked as a TV Studio Engineer. The music and sound guys used to say that the Wavestation and the M1 were their secret weapons on every track to give them a guaranteed pro sound!

Thought I'd post this in case anyone else has the same problem. I now seem to have the M1, Polysix and MonoPoly vst's working fine. The answer was to run S1 in compatibility mode for windows 8
I still can't get the Legacy Cell or Wavestation to work at all. Hoping Korg come up with an update

I have win10 64 installed on one of my computers, and all the Korg plugs work without a hitch. I am using StudioOne 2.6.3 though.
I remember back in the '90s hearing the Wavestation for the first time. Couldn't afford the $4k+ for the keyboard, or $2.5k for the rack unit. I ended up getting the half rack mini 'play only' version (05r/w) for about $1200. That was great value back then, even though it sounds like a huge amount of money today.

Just one thing that might be worth checking. The default installation path for the 64bit version may be set to install into the 'x86' program folder (32bit). It is easy to miss due to the fact that in the installation procedure, you have to check the 'standalone' installation path as well as the 'VST' path, but only one is shown at any time.

Hi, hope OP is still checking replies to this thread. Can I ask where you bought your Korg M1 vst? Will it show up as another instrument (like Impact, Presence, ect) or just voices under an existing instrument?

I have several synths from the Korg Legacy collection. They are separate VST's that are contained within a Korg folder in your Instruments list. They all work perfectly fine for me as well. There was some recent changes though with the Korg Usernet website and you had to re-download them and authorise them again. Existing customers got them for free. I assume new customers would be doing the new way from now.

Can you clarify how you installed the Korg plugins? Are they single files you copied into your VLC folder? Or is it a standalone application? If the latter, how do you get it to show up in Studio One's instrument list?
