LEARN TO USE TRAKTOR

Preface. I used to be a vinyl DJ from 1988 and for a little over 5 years that was my setup till my albums, SL1200s, and mixer was stolen from storage. I switched up to CDs for a while, and worked as a radio and club DJ till 1999.
After a long pause I decided to get back into DJing and invested in a Traktor S2 and TP2. In general it's been an OK setup, but there are enough quirks that I have experience that I am open to explore better options if they are there. Further I am considering going to a SC3900 or NS7 / NS7 II / V7 route to get some of that vinyl feel back. If I were to stay on the NI side I would likely invest in the Z2.
All that being said there are some things I dislike about TP2 and the S2. On the controller side it's plastic, and although durable, feels cheap. The platters are ok, but for scratching they just really do not cut it.
On the software side I had for a long time a major issue with CPU usage and clipping (which finally got resolved). I dislike some of the file management features of TP2. While the effects are indeed powerful and the effects decks are very nice, as a Mobile DJ spinning Pop, Hip-hop, Rock, R&B, etc I find myself rarely using those features, if ever
So task #1 for me is to see if and what features of Serato trumps Traktor.
And task #2 is to see hardware wise if I should go with a more modular (and larger) SC3900 / V7 + mixer setup, or should I stray towards a more unified controller like the NS7 / NS7 II.
